When mains power is present any voltage fluctuations within the specified range are corrected by the in-built automatic voltage regulator and fed to the load.
The built-in charger keeps the battery charged during this period.
|
|
When mains power fails the inverter draws power from the battery, converts it into a regulated A.C. Voltage and delivers to the load. The changeover from mains mode to battery mode and vice-versa is automatic and power is delivered to the load without interruption. In cases of overload and short circuit the unit automatically trips.

True online double-conversion technology with galvanic isolation
When mains power is present, the UPS converts the input AC voltage to DC to charge the battery and to supply the inverter with energy. The inverter generates a slnewave AC voltage. |
which is permanently available at the output of the UPS through an isolating transformer. If a problem occurs with the mains power supply, the battery delivers the necessary power to the inverter, additional bypass system which is integrated into the UPS guarantees the highest possible level of reliability: In cases of overload or short circuit, the bypass system automatically connects the mains power input directly through to the electrical load.

Voltage fluctuations in the mains power within the specified range, are automatically sensed continuously and the servo motor automatically moves the sliding contacts across the variac-buckboost transformer arrangement to make the required compensatory change in voltage. This ensures that a well regulated A.C. Voltage is available to the load. In cases of overload and short circuit the unit automaticallytrips.
